Shivpuri – Paradise for White Water Rafting

Shivpuri in Uttaranchal is famous for white water rafting. Rafting and adventure sports enthusiasts come over this place round the year for various activities. The best part about this place is, this is pretty near to Delhi and usually people come here on weekends. This is known best place for rafting in the country.

Shivpuri is approximately 30 KMs from Rishikesh and is in a valley. There are numerous rafting camps located at the bank of river Ganga, most of the camps are having their offices in Delhi and bookings for the camps can be done beforehand.

There are approximately 36 rapids ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 4, which are undertaken in the guidance of the trained rafters. These rapids are named as Black Money, Cross fire, three blind mice, body surfing, roller coaster, daniels dip, double trouble, T-off, Club House, Black Money.

People of all ages starting from 10 to 50 can go for rafting; this is pretty safe and adventures. One doesn’t needs to be a trained swimmer. The camp organizers are professional and they provide the best of the facilities and security systems to all rafters.

The season Start in mid September and continues until April end, before summers.
